How I Reset in Under 10 Minutes

Introduction - Reset in Under 10 Minutes

Step 1: Hydrate & Pause

Some days, I don’t need a full plan. I just need a reset. Not the kind that takes hours, or requires a yoga mat, or a digital detox in the mountains. Just a moment; a pause long enough to shift the energy without needing to overhaul my whole life.

Here’s how I reset in under 10 minutes when the day feels off, noisy, or simply too much.

Start the day with a refreshing lemon water & salt drink

Step 2: I Write One Line I Didn’t Expect

Not a full journal session. Just one honest line.

It might be:

  • “I feel overwhelmed and I’m pretending I don’t.”

  • “I want ten minutes of silence more than I want to be productive.”

  • “This is hard, but I’m still here.”

That one line becomes an emotional exhale. It grounds me in what’s true — without demanding that I fix anything right away.

Step 3: I Breathe Where I Am

I sit or stand. I don’t always close my eyes. I don’t count to four or hold to eight. I just… breathe.

And the funny thing is, that small act often resets my entire pace. My shoulders drop. My inbox matters less. My body softens. I remember that I don’t have to chase calm — I can return to it.

That’s It. Under 10 Minutes. No Apps. No Rules.

If I’m feeling extra scattered, I might hold a warm mug. Or run water over my hands. Or step outside for 60 seconds. But the foundation is always the same: water, one honest line, one real breath.

That’s what reset means for me.
